Why “Lumani”?
Lumani means illumination. Healthcare is dark and confusing; we’re here to flip the switch. Though not a direct translation, its sound and feel are rooted in my Filipino and Hawaiian heritage, where words like lumi, luna, and lani are all about light, sky, and perspective.

About the Founder
I’m Stephanie Lapré, a nurse leader who’s spent over 20 years inside the healthcare trenches. I’ve sat on hold more times than I care to admit, pored over bills that defied common sense, and witnessed firsthand how confusing—and exhausting—this system can be. If it leaves me feeling overwhelmed sometimes, I can only imagine how it feels for everyone else.
That’s why I founded Lumani Health: to cut through the confusion and shine a light on what really matters—finding real solutions, protecting your sanity, and never losing sight of what’s most important.
